IFEEL that the refusal by South Gloucestershire planners to allow a small gym on the Douglas Road industrial site and the opportunity for 15 new jobs shows a complete lack of joined-up thinking by councillors in an area where the needs of young people are not being met in this respect.

Here we have a council which merrily approves housing estates on almost every former industrial site in Kingswood and then disallows something which would keep young people off the streets and which would meet a big need.
