MENTAL health worker, Neil Marchant of Thornbury (Evening Post, November 28) questions my motives and competency over plans to make changes to adult social care services. Despite the personal attacks I would like to explain that there is opportunity for Neil and others to help shape the future of adult care and health services in Bristol by taking part in the consultation that launches this week.
We do need to make changes because: ? We will have many more older people over the years to come, ? Personal budget will give those people more choice and control over how those needs are met ? Evidence already suggests that those people will expect to be able to stay in their own homes living independently, with support for as long as possible.See the full content of this document
