CAN anyone explain why traffic emerging from Blackswarth Road onto the A420 in St George has been forbidden from turning left? Those wishing to go left can only do so by going straight across into Chalks Road, then left into Whitehall Road and either come back down through a side street or follow the road into Russell Town Avenue and exit at Lawrence Hill. The congestion around the Fowlers / Peugeot roundabout at Temple Meads could be eased with one modification - allow all traffic direct access into Cattle Market Road from Bath Bridge.
Vehicles from Three Lamps on the Bath and Wells Roads, or across from the Clarence and York Roads would not have to drive to the next roundabout and go through no less than five traffic lights to reach it.See the full content of this document
