Example: Bristol Academy EXAMPLE'S breakthrough single Kickstarts has to be one of the songs of the year. The white rapper from Fulham in posh south west London - not the usual breeding ground for hip hop stars - has created a monster of a tune that straddles hip hop clubs and daytime radio, featuring him both singing and rapping over a contagious house beat.
Kickstarts was the last song played at his sold-out gig at the Bristol Academy and was very much worth the wait, sounding even fresher and more vital live.
