HAVING just read and Lynne Hutchinson's report in tonight's Evening Post, I thought that you may be interested in hearing the views from one of the offenders who parks and has parked on Hunts Ground Road, safely and free of charge for the past seven years! I have sent two e-mails to South Gloucestershire Council outlining the reasons why restrictions should not be put in place, but as yet I have not received any answers!.
Please note that 90 per cent of the people who park on this road are local people like myself from Bradley Stoke, Winterbourne and the surrounding area who find Bristol Parkway Station a cheap, safe, quick and efficient way to travel into central Bristol at a reasonable cost of Pounds 3.90 return for a 15-minute trip. If the council wants us to park in the park-and-ride car park then perhaps this could be free of charge for locals who have already contributed to the Pounds 1.2 million pounds via their council tax to have this car park built!See the full content of this document
