IF Bristol City Council wishes to cut congestion, may I suggest it looks at increasing park and ride capacity in the east and north east of the city; especially on the M32 and on the ring road around Kingswood.
There is certainly space to create a P&R for the M32 just south of Stoke Lane for incoming traffic and, if the lane width or lane number was reduced, the motorway could provide for dedicated bus lanes or, dare I say it, tramways. Either option, if run down the central lanes of the M32 each way, would allow for stations to be added at Muller Road (beneath the motorway) and at Bishop Mills (above the motorway) similar to many of Paris' metro stations. Buses and/or trams could continue into the centre, calling at Cabot Circus and Temple Meads.See the full content of this document
