B RISTOL-BASED building tools and equipment firm Brandon Hire has been sold off in a Pounds 43 million deal by its parent company Wolseley, it was announced yesterday.

Private equity firm Rutland Partners has agreed to snap up the 177-strong chain, which employs around 960 people across the UK.
