SHIREHAMPTON manager Mickey Tanner came out on top in the battle against his former Bath City team-mate Dave Payne as claimed a 2-1 victory over Brislington Reserves in their Premier Division clash.

Tanner's side took the lead in the second minute as a deep cross from Danny Copeland gave Lee Riches the chance to head home at the far post.
