GUESS how many miles per gallon an experienced motorist can squeeze from the remarkable new Lexus RX450 Hybrid? It's a big but particularly well sculpted people carrier with elegant lines, a huge boot and enough cabin space to carry five adults in perfect comfort, so what are we thinking? About 25mpg? 30? 40 tops? Try 90mpg. To be honest, if Bristol Lexus specialist Alvar Lloyd hadn't shown me the readout he had achieved on his drive in to St Phillip's from north Bristol, I would have taken the figures with a pinch of salt - same as you.
