PUPILS at Bradley Stoke Community School have joined 8,000 youngsters around the UK by becoming Cyber-Mentors as part of an anti-bullying programme.
The 30 11-17-year-olds received specialist training from Beatbullying staff, designed to enable them to support their peers with any bullying issue, whether on or off-line, within the safe environment of the CyberMentors.org.uk website. They had to pass a five-stage course before being able to volunteer as a CyberMentor. Susie Davis, pictured, the school's director of student support, said: "Everyone at Bradley Stoke Community School is incredibly proud of its students who have become CyberMentors. As a school, we take bullying very seriously and believe Beatbullying's CyberMentors.org.uk is an invaluable extension of school-based strategies.See the full content of this document
