Summary
IN response to Josephine V Lewis of Henbury, I was merely pointing out that the Evening Post correspondent Sarah Feeley, was misplaced in using the sad death of Jo Yeates as a tentative link to bemoan inadequate street lighting. All I did was to point out that the more flora you provide such as trees, hedges, bushes etc, the more shaded areas you create to encourage all forms of crime.
Trees are not as important to our eco system as she and others would have us all believe. Yes, I know that via a process called photosynthesis that trees/plants release oxygen into the atmosphere. But that is only a part of the story. They are also responsible for releasing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere too during a process called respiration. Carbon dioxide is just as important to life as oxygen. Without carbon dioxide, decomposition would not exist and then we really would all be in the mire.See the full content of this document
