CRICKET: England captain Andrew Strauss believes his side batted as well as he has ever seen after knocking hosts South Africa out of the Champions Trophy with a wonderful display of power hitting.

Owais Shah hit six sixes in his 98, with Paul Collingwood and Eoin Morgan hitting dazzling knocks of 82 and 67 respectively in a total of 323-8. The Proteas were bowled out 22 short, despite 141 from Graeme Smith, for a result which puts England in the semi- finals.
