THE letters on Saturday raised some questions that deserve some clear answers. Conygre House is the oldest house in Filton and dates back to the 1600s. It is still much loved in the locality. The local people have been running a campaign for nearly two years to make it a community project.
As for Filton Town Council using it as offices, that was never an option. When South Gloucestershire Council's Conservative administration put the house on the market in 2009 they ruled out Filton Town Council as potential buyers because the amount of money would be more than the council could raise.See the full content of this document
