SCIENTISTS working at a firm in Bristol have won the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise for their work on a revolutionary material used in solar panels.

The team works for DuPont - famous for making non-stick materials - and has been working on the state of the art technology for a number of years. The compound it has developed is a paste known as Solamet and it is used to increase the efficiency of the energy gathering cells in solar panels.
