Ahard, cold spell of weather and it's a different world up on our top ground. Everywhere is cold and still and although I can see these fields from the yard at home, it is amazing how different the climate is 300 feet higher up.

There's very little wildlife about, the occasional cock pheasant, the wild birds are either gone or keeping their heads well down, because I can't see or hear them and I've only seen one hare.
