Summary
THE ruling Liberal Democrat group on Bristol City Council has welcomed the announcement of an extra Pounds 540,000 "pupil premium" for disadvantaged children in city schools. National plans for an extra Pounds 430 per pupil have been boosted by Pounds 58 per child, meaning that every school in Bristol will now get nearly Pounds 500 for every child on free school meals. The extra money is available because fewer children than expected have registered for free meals this year.
Hareclive Primary, where more than 220 pupils have free school meals, will receive an extra Pounds 12,000, and Brislington Enterprise College an extra Pounds 16,000.See the full content of this document
