7 Picks of the Week SATURDAY Monty Python - Almost the Truth: The BBC Lawyers' Cut (BBC2, 9.15pm) celebrates the 40th anniversary of the surreal and influential comedy team. In new interviews, the five surviving Pythons - John Cleese, Terry Jones, Terry Gilliam, Michael Palin and Eric Idle - talk us through their Python story and explain how they made the successful transition from innovative television to ground-breaking movies.

SUNDAY Nearly eight million people tuned in to see the return of the likeable series Doc Martin (ITV1, 9pm) last Sunday and they weren't disappointed. The pregnant Louisa story has been given a great twist with the arrival of the Doc's old flame, Edith Montgomery (Lia Williams), and in tonight's episode Louisa shares some personal information with the flame-haired ex. MONDAY The efforts of FBI agent Mark Benford (Joseph Fiennes) to discover the truth are at the heart of supernatural thriller FlashForward (Five, 9pm), which began promisingly last week. Tonight, Benford and partner Demitri track down a suspect who may be connected to the mysterious event, in which the world's population lost consciousness for two minutes.
