GARY Hopkins -"What we don't want is people who are driving in, parking all day and clogging up the city." So EXACTLY the thing you do you in your private, paid for by the taxpayer, car park. The man gets more ridiculous (which I didn''t think was possibly) by the day.
Paul, Bristol . WHILE London's public transport is far from perfect, it is many times better than our feeble offering. You are correct to say that London has an underground while Bristol doesn't, however that doesn't mean we have to exclude the Tube from comparisons of the efficacy of public transport. In the same way we can look at Manchester and its network of buses/trams/trains and say that public transport is far better than in Bristol. The difference between Bristol and the other cities hinges on Bristol's appalling public transport. Travelling around London on public transport is relatively easy and hassle free, therefore car parking and the congestion charge can be charged at punitive rates.
