TWO years ago, thumping dance music could be heard coming from Club UK, in Stokes Croft, but yesterday, drums, tambourines, and song filled the former nightclub as it reopened as a church.

Worshippers gathered in the former nightclub yesterday morning for the first service in the venue, which closed as a nightclub after a man was shot dead in the entrance lobby.
