MAY I just add my support to the students of this fine city and country, who, in the last two weeks, have on the whole peacefully protested against the latest ConDem cuts, of which there is a steady stream coming before and after this letter.

Let me salute the young people of this country who are standing up and defending their rights, while the rest of us sleepwalk into the most savage cuts our society has faced, while over in France they are rioting against change we have already given away.
