Motorists Face a 20p Rise to Tolls On Bridges

Drivers and haulage companies face a higher-than-inflation rise in the cost of the tolls for crossing the two Severn bridges.

In the new year the cost of taking a car over the Severn Estuary will go up from pounds5.10 to pounds5.30, a four per cent increase, compared to the current rate of inflation, 2.8 per cent.
