THE number of Bristol families living in fuel poverty has risen by more than 45 per cent, new government figures have revealed.
The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) released statistics showing almost 15,000 households in the city were classed as "fuel poor". That was up from the 10,000 such homes counted three years previously. The increase was widely replicated across the region with Bath and North East Somerset recording a 57 per cent hike, North Somerset 65 per cent and South Gloucestershire 25 per cent.See the full content of this document
