The article "Minister must help curb binge drinking" (Post, November 14) does not reflect all the work that the Government is doing to tackle the health and social effects of harmful drinking across the board.
There is a new public information campaign to promote sensible drinking; an independent review of alcohol pricing and promotion; toughened enforcement of underage sales; plans to introduce more help for people who want to drink less; and tough new measures to help the authorities tackle alcohol-related anti-social behaviour, and to shut down problem premises - resulting in a cut in alcohol- related violence and disorder.See the full content of this document
