I AM not a political person, but I recently attended my first ever council meeting because they were debating plans that the Conservative-run South Gloucestershire Council has to privatise the home-help service which my grandmother depends on to remain independent.
At the same meeting they debated Filton airfield. Maybe because I am not a Filton resident, the plans to build houses on the airfield had virtually passed me by.
