Alma Tavern, North Wiltshire Theatre Company present Hamlet DIRECTOR Matthew Clift sees Hamlet as a man who cannot encompass change. With that in mind, he sets the play immediately after the end of World War I when societies all over the world underwent monumental enforced changes.
Visually the play fitted neatly into that era creating no awkward pictures. Some nice characters were also drawn, but the text which was left virtually intact was not treated with enough respect.See the full content of this document
