ON behalf of a cousin of mine I have been asked to inquire if there is any possibility of finding any descendants of a Williams family that lived in Avonmouth until the early Fifties? They lived at 44, Cook Street, Avonmouth.
With a name like Williams it is difficult to research until present day. The sister of Thomas Williams, who lived at Cook Street, died when her only son was just a few years old, and he was sent to the Muller Road orphanage. When he left he went to this family in Avonmouth. But he kept his background completely secret and it was only after his and his wife's death that the family felt able to search for any unknown cousins that may still live in Bristol.See the full content of this document
