Grieve Out for at Least a Month ; Bristol Rugby

Summary

SKIPPER Iain Grieve will miss Bristol's key Championship clashes with London Welsh and Rotherham after scans revealed he fractured his eye socket in Sunday's 27-7 victory over Esher. The 24-year- old, making his first appearance since suffering a thigh injury at Plymouth in December, is likely to be out of action for up to five weeks, but is on course to return in time for the Championship play- offs.

The back-row forward initially required treatment after a lump of mud got into his eye - and the full extent of his injury was only revealed when he sneezed and the eye quickly became swollen.
