Chateauneuf du Pape. It's a catchy name that rings a bell. Some sort of wine? That's it. And perhaps the name is on more lips than usual now that the current Pope himself, Benedict XVI, is among us.

Any excuse to try a new wine, I always say - and especially one as glorious as this, from the southern reaches of France's Rhone Valley, where the papal vineyards were established 700 years ago.
