A NUMBER of schemes for providing the youngest children with free school meals are being trialed across England. It has been shown that well-fed children learn more and are better behaved. These schemes will not be adopted nationally.
In Scotland, all the youngest children already receive free school meals as a matter of course. The same could be done here, if we had our own Wessex gover nment.See the full content of this document
