Summary


Young footballers taking part in a police-sponsored tournament sprang into action when they came across an emergency on their way home.

The boys, five pupils from Wyvern School and one from Broadoak in Weston-super-Mare, were on their way back from a tournament in Bristol in a minibus with police Sergeant Gareth Starr and support officer Claire Sketchley when they arrived at the scene of an accident in Worle High Street. An elderly pedestrian had been knocked down and injured.
