WORK has started on a new extra care housing scheme for the elderly that will provide 63 flats for rent in Downend.
A ceremony was held to cut the first turf on the site in Beaufort Road, where one and two-bedroom flats will be ready for occupation in early 2011. They include communal facilities such as a lounge, dining area, hairdresser, health suite and assisted bathroom, as well as 24-hour on-site care and support.See the full content of this document
