BUSINESSES in Bristol are planning to spend more, not less, on research and development in 2011, according to new research. Law firm Withers & Rogers say firms are still willing to spend on research and development despite concerns about the impact of the Comprehensive Spending Review and the continuing challenging trading environment.
More than three quarters of companies said their spend had increased or stayed the same despite the uncertain economic conditions and the majority were expecting to spend more on research and development in the year ahead.
