IT is now a year since a campaign started in Gloucester Road to reduce the number of plastic bags used by shoppers, and some retailers have already seen a drop of up to 80 per cent in their usage.
This year, Grab (Gloucester Road Alternative Bag) organisers have vowed to continue to press the chain stores on the busy street - Tesco, Somerfield Sainsbury's, Boots, Bottoms Up, Greggs, Oddbins and Peacocks - to reduce their own plastic bag usage.See the full content of this document
