As someone who grew up in the age of not riding a bike without lights after dark, am I expecting too much for the courts to pass sentences which are more fitting to the crimes ("High-speed chase ends with crash, Post, May 16)?
For instance, sentences for a man driving at high speed while under the influence of drugs, driving while disqualified, or with no insurance, seen mounting pavements, jumping a red traffic light on the wrong side of the road and threatening the lives of many - including the woman police cars had to stop and help after she was thrown across the road like a rag doll.See the full content of this document
