Calendar Girls: Bristol Hippodrome CALENDAR Girls is unashamedly populist theatre and, needless to say, some critics have been decidedly stand-offish about the show. But while it may be a touch twee in places, Calendar Girls achieves exactly what it sets out to do. It makes you laugh, it makes you cry, and it leaves you feeling thoroughly uplifted (so to speak!).
