AHOT summer - that's what I was expecting. I booked my holiday in Cornwall for mid-July, presuming that it would be in full swing by then. I couldn't have been more wrong and the weather couldn't have been more British.

The skies were grey and my friend was blue. Thank goodness the VW Passat CC didn't let the abysmal weather dampen its performance.
