IFULLY agree with the Post's petition to turn the lights off. There are far too many lights and travel within the greater Bristol area is, at the very least, a stressful experience.
The government and local councils keep harping on to the public about the need to cut down on carbon emissions, pollution and traffic congestion, but their actions only further punish road users with ever greater restrictions, from so-called traffic calming measures, loss of lanes or traffic lights at every corner. My most hated set of lights is the Regent Street lights in Kingswood.
