CONGRATULATIONS to big hearted Bob Woodward, the founder of CLIC - the Cancer and Leukaemia in Childhood Charity - for being honoured at the Pride of Britain Awards at the Daily Mirror event at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane, London, for his well deserved award for lifetime achievement at the ceremony hosted by Carol Vorderman (Evening Post, October 5).
Bob, I was delighted when you were named as last year's overall Evening Post/First Gold Star Awards winner in December, since you set up CLIC after your son Robert was diagnosed with cancer in 1974 and who sadly died in 1977 at the age of 11.
