CAMPAIGNERS fighting moves by developers to build up to 180 houses on the green belt in Mangotsfield were today celebrating after the scheme was thrown out by planners.

A unanimous thumbs down was given to Taylor Wimpey, which wanted to create the estate on land between Mangotsfield School, Cleve Rugby Club and Mangotsfield United Football Club.
