IT is "far from clear" that a private company set up to give backroom support to Avon and Somerset Police is good value for money, say MPs.
The Home Affairs Select Committee said it had been given a "mixed picture" on the effectiveness of Southwest One, a partnership with computer giant IBM and two Somerset councils, after a row about cost savings.
