Jayson Gillham (piano ): Colston Hall 2 AUSTRALIAN Jayson Gillham gave a popular recital of music by Beethoven and Chopin to wind up the successful Lunchtime Series at Colston Hall yesterday.
Beethoven's 25th Sonata is one of the lighter of the composer's output of 32 although there is a powerful opening before the gentle Adagio leads into the finale which is a short episode where the soloist played with considerable flair . The gracefulness of Chopin's A flat Major Waltz was in contrast to the louder moments which the pianist judged perfectly.See the full content of this document
