THE Avon Wildlife Trust is calling on Bristol residents to keep an eye out for amorous sparrows this Valentine's Day.
The charity has launched Operation Wild Sparrows, an investigation into why one of the West's best-loved garden birds - the hedge or house sparrow - is disappearing. The year-long survey is launching at Valentine's time because this is when bachelor male house sparrows start trying to woo a female into becoming their life- long mate.See the full content of this document
