BATH and North East Somerset Council has objected to the Pounds 150 million expansion of Bristol Airport over fears it will contribute towards climate change.

Councillors voted in favour of a motion to object to the scheme, which includes multi-storey car parks, an expanded terminal and improved transport links. Mr Coombes, who proposed the motion, said: "We have been told by the Climate Change Committee that the aviation industry will have to cut emissions from planes back to their 2005 level by 2050.
