SELLERS are still reluctant to put their homes on the market, despite a marked upturn in the Bristol housing market, according to a local independent estate agent.

To help encourage vendors, Ocean estate agent has introduced a deal which is running until the end of next month. Ocean director Chris McLaughlin explains: "In the past, it was possible to put your home up for sale without any financial commitment. Now, a property seller must compile a Home Information Pack (HIP) prior to marketing, which often costs hundreds of pounds.
