Aer Lingus Delays the Delivery of New Aircraft ; Airline Forced to Cut Costs

Irish airline Aer Lingus has delayed the delivery of five Airbus aircraft and will exit the leases on two further planes ahead of schedule in a bid to cut costs.

The Irish flag carrier said that the stabilising of its long- haul fleet to eight aircraft until 2013 will contribute to "a significantly stronger net cash position and balance sheet".
