I'm researching a book on absent fathers, and am looking for stories on the effects of not having a father, whether through death, divorce, illegitimacy or long-term absence (for instance, due to work).

I am especially interested in talking to people in their 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s about their memories of their childhood, what it was like having no father at home and whether this had any long- term effects.
